The Family Violence/Special Victims Unit and the White Collar Crimes Unit handle cases of elder abuse including caregiver neglect, physical abuse, sexual abuse, and financial exploitation.  The units are comprised of assistant district attorneys, victim witness advocates, and state police troopers specially trained to address elder abuse offenses.  The unit provides investigation, prosecution, and victim assistance in elder abuse cases.
