Underage Drinking Prevention Conference
Underage alcohol consumption is the cause of tragedies county-wide.  To help combat this problem, Norfolk District Attorney Michael W. Morrissey’s Office applied for and received grant funding from the Executive Office of Public Safety and Security to host a county-wide conference to develop strategies for underage drinking prevention.  This conference brought together law enforcement leaders, school leaders and community leaders to learn about effective strategies and resources to prevent underage alcohol consumption.

Project Prom Sense Grant
The prom season is a time where many in law enforcement and public safety fear that celebration will turn into devastation for young adults in Norfolk County.  To encourage alcohol-free safe post-prom events, District Attorney Morrissey made grant funding available for schools to help defray the cost of these events.  These events keep teens off the roads and away from alcohol.

Operation Graduation Grant Project
Years of hard work, accomplishment and potential can be wiped out by an alcohol related incident.  Students who have earned the bright future that awaits them tragically lose those opportunities and often change the course of their lives forever just as they are about to graduate.  District Attorney Michael Morrissey made grant funding available to defray the cost of hosting alcohol-free post-graduation events for students.
